Pendekatan Metabolomik dan Artificial Intelligence dalam Penemuan Senyawa Bahan Aktif dari Bahan Alam

Produk alam merupakan salah satu sumber utama senyawa bioaktif dalam penemuan obat, namun proses identifikasi senyawa aktif secara konvensional masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti kompleksitas komposisi metabolit, tingginya risiko rediscovery, serta kebutuhan waktu dan biaya yang besar. Metabolomik berkembang sebagai pendekatan yang mampu menganalisis profil metabolit secara komprehensif menggunakan instrumen analitik modern, seperti LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, NMR, dan HRMS. Di sisi lain, data metabolomik yang kompleks memerlukan pendekatan komputasional untuk mendukung proses analisis dan interpretasi. Narrative review ini bertujuan mengkaji perkembangan integrasi metabolomik dan artificial intelligence (AI) dalam penemuan senyawa bioaktif dari produk alam. Kajian dilakukan melalui penelusuran literatur pada berbagai basis data ilmiah dan dianalisis secara kualitatif berdasarkan tema pembahasan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi metabolomik dan AI, khususnya machine learning dan deep learning, mampu meningkatkan efisiensi identifikasi metabolit, dereplikasi senyawa, prediksi bioaktivitas, penemuan biomarker, serta prioritisasi kandidat senyawa bioaktif. Meskipun masih menghadapi tantangan terkait standardisasi data, keterbatasan basis data metabolit, dan interpretabilitas model AI, integrasi kedua teknologi ini memiliki prospek yang besar dalam mempercepat penemuan obat berbasis produk alam secara lebih cepat, akurat, dan berbasis data.
